Carlos Hernández Vázquez
Founder & Director
Carlos Hernández Vázquez is an expert in security, governance, and strategic intelligence, with over 14 years of experience in international organizations. He holds a Law degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master’s in Law Enforcement, Security, and Intelligence from the University of Buckingham (UK), completed as a Chevening Scholar under the British Government’s scholarship program.
As the founder and CEO of Nzaya, he leads initiatives in anti-corruption, cybercrime, and the prevention of financial crimes, advising governments, multilateral organizations, and the private sector.
His approach combines law, intelligence, and international cooperation to design effective strategies that strengthen the rule of law and institutional security.
He has collaborated with the United Nations, the Government of the United Kingdom, and various global entities, promoting strategic partnerships and capacity building throughout Latin America.
Carlos is also a professor of Strategic Intelligence at Universidad Anáhuac México and an active member of several international expert networks, including The International Association for Cybersecurity (ASICI), The Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México (INCAM), The Emerging Technologies Advisory Council of the British Embassy in Mexico, The National Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering and Anti-Corruption of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants and The PIT Lab Policy Consulting Network. He has also participated in working groups on whistleblower protection and financial crime prevention, collaborating with high-level experts to advance reforms and promote global best practices.
